In this society, moral values, honesty, social good, spirituality have yielded place to individualism, competition, self good etc. This social order has thrown open a new challenge to the human society. Corruption is not a new phenomenon. Corruption is a potent violator of human rights, particularly the economic and social rights of individuals as well as those of the state. It not only undermines development and growth, it also inhibits efforts aimed at poverty eradication. Corruption has spread its effects to every sphere of the society. Corruption benefits the rich and it affects the poor. Unless it is checked, the government and people will have to pay a heavy price in the lower income, lower investment and lower development people.

Mr. Niranjan Moharana and Prof. Dr. N.C. This phase involves navigating multiple developmental challenges, including forming a stable identity, gaining independence, and establishing oneself in the broader social and academic world. Identity and social cognition are deeply interconnected, as our understanding of ourselves is often shaped by how we perceive and interpret social interactions and relationships. This paper attempts to explore the intersection of identity distress and social cognition in higher education. Further, it discusses the reasons for identity distress and social cognition and the impact of this intersection on adolescents' and adults’ educational journeys. Furthermore, the paper highlights how societal expectations and norms shape our identity and behaviour. It discusses what can be effective interventions like mentorship programmes, mental health services, awareness & sensitivity training, and academic support programmes during the transition from adolescence to adulthood, especially in the context of higher education. These intervention programmes aim to support identity formation and reduce identity distress. Ultimately, it discusses the relevance of these intervention programmes in adolescents' and adults’ education.
1. Sweta Jaiswal , 2. While cognitive skills such as logical reasoning and procedural fluency are typically emphasized in Mathematics Education but the role of metacognition, (controlling one’s own thinking processes) remains an underexplored dimension in this transition. This paper is an attempt to examine the uncharted role of metacognition in enhancing Mathematics Achievement. It highlights the interconnectedness between thinking and doing, focusing on how metacognition bridges the gap between conceptual understanding (thinking) and effective problem-solving execution (doing) in Mathematics. This study explores the various types of challenges and opportunities in integrating metacognitive practices in Mathematics Education. The rise of digital tools and apps offers a promising avenue for promoting metacognitive practices in mathematics. It this paper, National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020 advocates for integration of metacognitive practices in existing Mathematics curriculum for the development of higher-order thinking skills, such as critical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
1.
